NYC: Best Burger in Town

For those that know me, know already that I am a huge fan of Gigi Hadid! Can you say #flawless! So when Gigi snapchatted about her favourite burger in New York City and then went on the Jimmy Fallon show to talk about it again, I knew I had to pay this place a visit.

The restaurant is known as JG Melon, there is two in the city, one uptown and one downtown. I went in high hopes of the most mouth watering burger and let's face it, that Gigi just might be there too. No luck on a Gigi sighting but boy was she right about the burger!

There are a few different types of burgers to choose from on the menu but I went with the classic cheeseburger. The burgers from appearance look pretty basic, it's a bun, meat patty, spanish onion and pickles, sauce and mustard are on the table to add as you desire. No fancy salad, no bells and whistles. They don't even have fries on the menu, they have cottage fried potatoes instead, which are pretty delicious, so I ain't complaining.

It was a short wait for a table so we sat at the bar and had a drink. Ed has become a dirty martini fanatic and said the dirty martini he had at JG Melon was by far the best one he has had in New York City so far!

The restaurant has an old pub feel to it and is absolutely covered with Watermelon memorabilia. Watermelon pictures cover the walls, watermelon clocks, figurines, you name it, they have it in watermelon.

We've already been back once more for one of these mouth watering burgers and it was just as good the second time around. The uptown restaurant is a short walk from Museum Mile so I recommend if you are visiting the MET, Guggenheim or any of the museums on Museum Mile to refuel at JG Melon!
