Social: Slip Inn

A beautiful setting with stormy weather, that did not detract from the day, but instead enhanced and complimented the emotions of the special occasion. The first, of one of my oldest and best friends has taken the plunge and said I do.

The Bendooley Estate located in Berrima in the Southern Highlands was the chosen location, which featured a picturesque backdrop for the ceremony, with lightning cracking down in the distance as they exchanged their vowels.

The reception was held at the Bendooley Bar and Grill which was surrounded by stunning green vineyards on the outside and decorated as a vintage style book barn on the inside. The night went all so quickly but will not be one to forget.

The Bridal Party were all dressed so elegantly with the bride looking breathtaking in a simple lace gown with a pretty pink bow. And my dress of choice was a satin silver floor length number, purchased on the exact same weekend a year ago to the day from TopShop on Chapel Street in Melbourne.

I spent the nights staying in a gorgeous lodge called the Cainston Lodge, a little granny-like-flat off the owners magnificently huge house. It was located on a large amount of green land with beautiful gardens and luxurious interior.

Cheers to a long and happy life side by side #nicandnathsayido
